In August 1990, Iraq invaded and annexed Kuwait. The UN Security Council first imposed economic sanctions and later set a deadline for the withdrawal. The incident shook the world. All over the world the people were terrorized by seeing the barbaric killings of innocent and ordinary people of those terrorists in the name of God. Afghanistan was the hide out of those terrorists and that is why America first attacked this country.

This country is very poor and the country was already ravaged by years of civil war. They were simply nothing in front of the mighty America. America overtook the country and killed good no. of terrorists and also detained a big no. of terrorists. But USA has a feeling that there must be some other help from some other countries who are more powerful. The suspicion goes to Iraq as both these countries are not having a good relation for years.

George Bush Junior wanted to finish the work which his father couldn’t finish, catching and giving punishment to Saddam Hussein. Apart from this USA has suspicion that Iraq might had piled up nuclear weapon secretly. USA attacked Iraq for the second time and the gulf war II started. This time USA was much careful, experienced with the previous war and Iraq was facing internal problem. USA quickly defeated Iraq and after some months later they caught Saddam Hussein and the dictator had to face the court where he was sentenced to death.
